ABOUT
I’ve had the privilege of working with children for over 20 years. After graduating from New York University with honors, I focused on early childhood education, developing an after-school arts curriculum for public school students in Lower Manhattan. After moving back to my hometown of Los Angeles in 2017, I became one of the most highly requested substitute teachers at Scoot Education and Teachers on Reserve. This led to my full-time position at The John Thomas Dye School (JTD), an independent elementary school in Bel Air, where I served as a fourth grade teacher, after-school care coordinator, and library co-teacher for three years. I also have a background in the arts, and I love infusing my lessons with creativity. I am a company member of Story Pirates, an award-winning organization committed to celebrating the words, stories, and ideas of young people from diverse backgrounds. I am passionate about supporting students in underserved communities and have volunteered at the 52nd Street Project for over 15 years. I also tutor students experiencing homelessness through School on Wheels.
